Technical Support Engineer
Technical Support Engineer with ideally 3-5 years exp required for a 12 months contract based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
Hybrid working available, likely to be required on site a min of 3 days pw, some working from home available.
£35.50 FCSA Umbrella (this role is deemed inside IR35
£25.50 paye
SHould extend beyond intial 12 months & become long term opportunity
Duties include:
- Technical Support of aftermarket parts
- Technical Support of Dealer & OEM Customers
- Develop and meet expectations; deliver results, identify and recommend alternative courses of actions, make timely decisions
- Advise on and recommend ways to enhance customer loyalty
- Apply decisions to support and develop product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth, NPI process, process improvement, warranty policy, etc.
- OEM Product Support account management
- Distributor Product Support account management
- Dealer Product Support account management
- Customer issue resolution lead
- Warranty management/adjudication
- Develop appropriate procedures and plans to ensure product quality and evaluating results to identify functional deficiencies. Correcting design flaws as needed.
- Solicit and gather internal and external feedback to identify potential new products and/or improvements to existing products that improve product serviceability.
- Write technical specifications and instructions to ensure product quality and performance. Track and manage the status of projects from inception to release.
- Facilitate root cause investigations and corrective actions to minimize impact to our customers.
- Conduct dealer and customer visits to provide support for new product introduction or assist with technical issues.
- Demonstrable experience displaying mechanical aptitude and the ability to relay information to technical professionals.
- Possess business understanding with the ability to translate actions and to implement across the business.
- Demonstrable experience working on complex projects with multiple stakeholders and business units.
Candidate Requirements:
Technical support/service engineering background and detailed knowledge.
Problem solving ability, proof in previous Technical Support experience.
Technical foundation
Complex Machinery, Whole System Automotive or Heavy Goods Vehicle / Similar exp
Engineering degree or HND/HNC
Capable of working as part of a team collaborating with colleagues in different geographies.
Must be on site min 3 days a week, but work from home is available.
This role is inside IR35, and the umbrella pay rate is £35.50ph FCSA Umbrella, paye £25.50 ph
