Production Controller

£17.50 PAYE or £22.50 Umbrella
 
We are currently recruiting for a Production Controller based in Fareham, Hampshire.
This will initially be a 6-month contract with the possibility of going permanent at the end.
The rate will range from £17.50 PAYE to £22.50 Umbrella per hour.
 
Key responsibilities:

• Managing production and spares demand through proactive liaison with Production, Projects, Planning, Commissioning and Sales to determine Works Order requirements
• Attending and participating in daily production and project meetings
• Advising upon Bill of Material and Routing creation for cost effective product MRP setup
• Planning Work Order release for production loading, stores kitting and purchasing requirements
• Releasing and expediting Work Orders on the shop floor from issue to completion/sign off
• Tracking and providing Work Order status to meet Project, Production and Spares Plans
• Managing materials shortages
• Managing Rework Work Orders

 
Key skills required:

• Must have previous Production Control/Production Planning/Production Scheduling experience
• Ideally have experience working in the manufacturing/engineering industry
• Must be able to pass base level security clearance
