Structural Design Engineer – Aircraft
Bournemouth, Dorset.
£60 – £65ph FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed inside IR35)
 
Initial 6-8 week contract, potential to extend & become ongoing.
Some Hybrid Working available (Min 3 days pw onsite in Bournemouth though)

Specific Requirements
 
Other experience/skills in the following would also be an advantage:
 

• Working within a aircraft structural, aviation modification or aerospace/defence mechanical engineering environment
• Assess, review and correct Instructions for ICA, maintenance manuals and mechanical drawings
• Shall manage all design phases of technical projects and manage scheduling, estimating and completion of design data.
• Ideally experienced (Although not essential) with Regional, Fast or similar sized Jet Aircraft Structures
• Compilation of design and certification data.
• Evidence of attention to detail skills
• Self-motivated and independent working
• Communication with confidence at all levels

 
The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment and manage own workload.
 
The role will entail working from pre-existing documentation to assess, review and correct Instructions for ICA, maintenance manuals and assess mechanical drawings. Then send documents/drawings back to the manufacturer for rework, or provide recommendation for approval.  
 
The role is initially expected to last 6-8 weeks, however this is likely to extend beyond this (it has the potential to become long-term)
 
Rate £60 – £65 ph, (FCSA Umbrella, this role is deemed inside IR35)
