Mechanical Design Draughter – Catia CAD
Bournemouth, Dorset.
£47 – £50ph FCSA Umbrella (This role is deemed inside IR35)
Initial 6-8 week contract, potential to extend & become ongoing.
Some Hybrid Working available (Min 3 days pw onsite in Bournemouth though)
Are you a Design Draughter or Mechanical Design Engineer with experience of producing structural modification drawings, assembly drawings, manufacturing drawings, detailing mechanical designs & CAD Design work using Catia?
Do you have a proven background of designing within aerospace, defence or similar high value manufacturing / aircraft / aviation industries?

Specific Requirements
Other experience/skills in the following would also be an advantage:
- Working knowledge of Catia CAD system
- Working within a aircraft structural, aviation modification or aerospace/defence mechanical engineering environment
- Ideally experienced (Although not essential) with Regional, Fast or similar sized Jet Aircraft Structures
- Manufacture and Assembly Draughting techniques
- Knowledge of a wide range of engineering materials and fasteners
- Knowledge of Geometric tolerancing, limits and fits
- Evidence of attention to detail skills
- Self-motivated and independent working
- Communication with confidence at all levels
The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment and manage own workload.
The role will entail working from pre-existing 3D models and producing drawings, production drawings, manufacturing drawings and all associated documentation for manufacturing parts and sub-assemblies.
Strong Catia 3D Modelling techniques required and ability to produce associated manufacturing drawings and typical documentation for design then manufactured products
The role is initially expected to last 6-8 weeks, however this is likely to extend beyond this (it has the potential to become long-term)
Rate £47 – £50 ph, (FCSA Umbrella, this role is deemed inside IR35)
£35 – £37 Paye
